Artisinal candles, guys. I love that description. After all the wonky news lately about how candles are causing cancer, I love having an option that is clean and okay for my family... because sometimes mama needs a candle.

Box options:

The Standard: $10/month + shipping, 1 candle (~4 ounces), ~ 25 hours of burn time

The Affectionato: $20/month & free shipping, 1 candle (~8 ounces), ~50 hours of burn time

The Luxe: $30/month & free shipping, 1-2 candles (~12 ounces), ~75 hours of burn time

I subscribe to the Affectionato box, a happy middle ground. The packaging from these guys is On Point, y'all. The candles come wrapped in cloth (like, a legit piece of cloth!), tied with string (Julie Andrews is singing now), and I've gotten a few bonus items along the way, like tiny tea light candles or bath salts.

This month was a maple and bourbon scented, 22-karat gold plated, all-natural, non-toxic, and clean burning @ebbandflownyc candle. I'm swooning! Smells divine, like a grown-up fall.

According to their FAQ: "we do not place beeswax candles in the box in order to stay as vegan as possible. A lot of what you’ll find in our box are soy, coconut or vegetable based waxes. We do not place paraffin candles in the box nor do we allow lead wicks. When possible, we look for candles scented with 100% essential oils, but will allow for phthalate-free fragrances."
